This was a personal project where I created separated dividers for a new set of beakers that were bought and needed to be stored in drawers.
The Problem:
A new set of beakers were bought and had to be packed into drawers, however due to the size of the drawers vs the side of the beakers, it would not be practical to just pack them in as is since they would roll and slide each time someone would open the drawer.
Steps taken:
I first 3D Modelled each beaker, and knowing the physical size of a drawer and dimensions, I the created an outline of how each beaker could fit into the drawer.
Final product:
Due to the large difference in size of the 3D Printer and the size of the drawer, I had to break up the frame into smaller sections that I could print out and then super glue together.
Even though the frame would have weak points at the connection of each section, it did not have a huge impact since it only had to hold each beaker in place when the drawer would be opened.
Final setup:
After printing out each section and some super glue, each drawer could comfortably hold different beaker sizes.
