Artifact: Travel Club Lesson Plan
Artifact Reflection: This lesson plan I created for the after-school program I work for. We offer different clubs and Travel Club is one that we have introduced to the students. It give them an opportunity to learn about countries through their food, crafts, history and geography. This artifact shows my understanding how important is to include all types of diversity to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
Artifact: Getting Familiar with ADHD
Artifact Summary: I wrote this paper for my EDSP course about ADHD. I chose ADHD as my topic because I was interested to become more informed about this disorder due to working with students who had ADHD. This artifact demonstrates my understanding on individual learning differences and how I can develop my lessons to be inclusive for all learners.
Artifact: "Taking Control of Your Worries": Identifying and Coping with Anxiety
Artifact Summary: This lesson plan I created for my previous job when we had to have our afterschool program virtual due to COVID-19. I felt it was important to create a lesson and activity where students can understand the emotions they may be going through due to the pandemic.
The lesson consists of read-alouds coping mechanisms students can use to cope with anxiety.
