My name is Andrea Trochez and I graduated from Texas Woman's University with a B.S. in Education. I'm currently working on getting certified through an alternative certification program.
Ever since being in elementary school I remember that my answer to the question of "what do you want to be when you grow up?" was always "I want to be a teacher." Of course that answer has not changed. My passion for working with kids has immensely grown in the past years. From being the fifth grade and fourth grade teacher at my previous job, I have learned to love working with the older grade levels.
I believe these students are at a point of their life that they need that extra person to challenge and guide them in order for them to become successful in life. This world can be a dark place and I want to be that light that they may be searching for.
