Badger and Bramble tile

Description

A hand made earthenware, ceramic tile made from an original drawing carved into lino and relief printed onto thin slabs of clay. Decorated with a copper slip, oxides, underglazes and a transparent glaze where the dark brown, metallic copper finish magically turns to green. The oak stand is designed specifically for the size and weight of the these tiles and are hand made from European oak with the help of my father in law. Each stand is slightly different due to the nature of the material and process.

This is a decorative not functional item, some areas are left unglazed and remain porous. It has a makers mark and an individual number on the base.

Care instructions

Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

This item is not dishwasher safe.

The oak stand can be retreated with a clear wax .
