Barn Owl Framed Plaque

Description

A hand made earthenware, ceramic plaque made from an original drawing carved into lino and relief printed onto thin slabs of clay. Decorated with a copper slip, oxides, underglazes and a transparent glaze where the dark brown, metallic copper finish magically turns to green. It is mounted in a bespoke oak frame. Zoom in on the images to take a closer look at the detail.

This is a decorative not functional item, some areas are left unglazed and remain porous. It has a makers mark and an individual number on the base.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

This item is not dishwasher safe.

The oak stand can be retreated with a clear wax .
