Student Internship
Under the SSR Scheme of DST-SERB Project

The Antimicrobial Research (AMR) Lab, Dept. of Biotechnology, University of Mumbai, is working on a Major Research Project (MRP) titled: A study on the prevalence and molecular profiling of Virulence genes in multiple antibiotic resistant Escherichia coli from retail food, funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
SERB has adopted Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) Policy which includes mentoring young students and fostering research culture among students.
Under the project SSR, there is provision of upto Rs. 5000/- per month (maximum two months) as Student Assistantship for a student to carry out student internship (dissertation project) in the AMR lab under the guidance of the Principal Investigator Dr. Archana Rath. Interested students, currently pursuing Postgraduation in Biotechnology, willing to work for at least six months, can apply.
Interested students can upload their application (as per the format) along with Bona fide Certificate and Letter of recommendation from their college/institute. Student, from outside Mumbai, if selected, must manage their own accommodation. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (offline/online). Selection will be based on the performance in the interview.
Tentative start date of internship: 15th March 2022
Last date of receipt of applications is 28th February 2022.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
