AMMILAB @ Maker Faire Rome 2015

AMMILAB has been selected to participate at the Maker Faire Rome 2015 (October 16-18th).

A newly-created automatic musical ensemble will be presented. It is made up of a street organ, a set of percussions and a motorized slide whistle which will play newly arranged pieces of music. It will be possible to listen it both at a booth and in a dedicated performance session entitled "MIDIfied Mechanical One Man Band!".

Moreover, a talk entitled

"Mechanical Music MIDIfication – how to exploit the MIDI protocol as a mean to preserve ancient mechanical pieces of music and to give a new life to ancient mechanical instruments"

will be held.
