The Association and its goals
The Amici del Leudo Association was born in 2011 to support the preservation of the Nuovo Aiuto di Dio.
We work for our territory and to pass on the ancient maritime traditions of Sestri Levante and the Tigullio area. We collaborate with many other associations and local realities that have the Ligurian navy at heart.
The Leudo experience makes boating inclusive and accessible to all. Getting on board means participating and learning to live with others and with respect for others, without any distinction. The leudo needs care and attention during navigation. Anyone can help out according to their abilities! Our events are always open to the public, while our cruises at sea are reserved for members of the association. If you want to know more about our activities, click here.

Our main objective is to keep alive the tradition of the Leudo and the Ligurian maritime world, making sailing accessible to all. To spread the seafaring culture we organize cruises on historic boats and we take care of their conservation for the purpose of museum dissemination.
We organize traditional sailing and lateen sailing courses and we acollaborate with universities and high schools. Our guided tours are also designed for schools of all levels, with particular attention to nautical schools.
We love the sea and participate in marine biology research using historic sailing boats. We organize conferences and events to show our activities and to promote the law of the sea, as well as the volunteering especially in relation to marine life.
