From time to time, I also create smaller, one-off surveys or polls for fun! These are typically hosted on Google Forms, or Microsoft Forms.
Examples of the surveys/polls I create include:
Breyerfest Special Run Popularity (finding out which run is most popular out of a single year's group)
Upcoming Stablemate or Vintage Club predictions (which molds that haven't been used do you think we'll see - or that you want to see!)
Guessing the Christmas Day Surprise mold/color/other details
Various interest polls for Region X - usually involving TRXC or other local show interest indexes
476 folks participated in this year's poll - thank you! Above is the generalized ranking. In a first for this poll series, the vintage mold took the top spot!
In the detailed chart above, you can see that Hats Off took a good chunk of folks' first choice spots, but he did not have nearly as definitive a lead as Stein or Pollock from years past - or even Fighter & Survivor from last year, just looking directly below!
Here's the general overview of popularity from most to least!
This graph shows a more detailed look at how participants ranked each of the models! From red (first choice) to dark blue (last choice), it shows a count of how many people chose each rank for each model.
In 2023, Breyer switched up the format for the annual Christmas Gambler, releasing the run a week prior to the holiday instead of on Christmas morning! The Coal model was also not solid black, but had a white mane and tail and 4 socks to match the markings & hair of the other 4 colors. See the poll results for 2023 below!
223 people participated in this poll! (It was a good thing I started it further in advance than in previous years, but still if it had gone all the way to Christmas Day this number would be higher)
The correct amount of colorways was 5!
Design options guessed correctly included Christmas color solid/dapple deco, metallic/pearly color, and glitter!
The correct guess here was glossy, these screenshots predate the arrival of Coal so we weren't sure at at hat time.
The run amount per color, excluding Coal, was 650!
Yes, there was a Coal micro run!
Wassail was sold for $145 per model
6.7% of poll participants correctly guessed Huck for the main mold!
Again, this screenshot was pre-Coal reveal, but 3.1% of participants correctly guessed Huck would be the Coal!
This year's poll, as always, featured several groups of Stablemate molds which have not yet been used in the Stablemate Club. With the second reveal, the poll closed, and here are the results in each category! Since the groups have gotten much smaller, I now allow participants to select as many in each category that they want to see in the club, minimum of one per group. 130 participants joined the fun this year!
We usually don't get to vote on the G1 category, as it is often the first reveal of the season, so it was interesting to see how this group has changed.

This was a new survey conducted over on Microsoft Forms! Respondents were asked to choose at least mold from each category, but they were allowed to choose up to an amount specific per question as the number of options varied. In total, there were 224 responses. A couple of the categories had too many options to cleanly get into one screenshot, so they have a part 1 and part 2. That will be noted below the screenshots. Many folks inquired if I would send these results to Breyer, and I may look into doing this, since I feel there are enough results to be considered a decent sample size. Please click on each screenshot below to enlarge.

BreyerFest 2023 Special Run Preference Rankings Results!
Thank you all for participating again this year! Last year, this poll occurred around the time that the preference lists were going out. This year, there was a ton of hobby interest ahead of ticket sales, so I moved up the date.
Interesting note - while 2021 and 2022 had clear favorites (Pollock & Stein respectively), there's no real strong lead on any of these models, particularly for people's first choice. Jump & Drive and Peanutine were very close in overall ranking and went back and forth a few times as responses came in!
Christmas Day 2022 Surprise Results!
Despite my party foul of forgetting to include Nikolas, collectively, we did quite well otherwise!
A total of 468 people participated in the survey this year! Thank you all! I will never leave out brand new non-PC molds again just in case something like this happens in the future!
Total colorways (including Coal) - 5 (though not counting Coal, 4 could also be considered correct)
Design choices - Metallic/Pearly colors
Finish - Glossies
Total run amount per color (excluding Coal) - ~500
Will there be a Coal? - Yes!
Guess the Price Point - $135 ($126-$150 category)
Guess the Main Mold - Nikolas [accidentally omitted]. Top 3 guesses were Fell Pony, Astrid, and Ashquar
Guess the Coal Mold - Nikolas [again, missing]. Top 3 guesses were also the Fell Pony, Ashquar, and Astrid
Thank you to everyone who participated in the post-BreyerFest survey to see if we could guess the run distribution for the Rotating Draft Surprise! A total of 1,195 (15.9%) out of the 7,500 piece run were accounted for by participants. Incredible! Our chart ended up looking similar to the actual proportions which is so neat!
The total run amounts per Breyer are as follows:
Matte Deco Pinto - 975
Glossy Silver Bay - 1,250
Matte Roan Appaloosa - 375
Glossy Roan Appaloosa - 375
Matte Gray Pinto - 1,110
Glossy Gray Pinto - 375
Matte Buckskin Pinto - 950
Glossy Buckskin Pinto - 375
Matte Leopard Appaloosa - 1,250
Glossy Leopard Appaloosa - 475
Now that I have an MS Forms account that allows me to have more than 200 responses per poll, the 2022 SR Rankings Poll went more smoothly this year!
499 participants chose Fireheart as the clear favorite, though not with the same intensity as Pollock in 2021!
This poll from 2021 asked participants to rank all 9 (well, 10 counting the foals) of the G1 Stablemate molds that had not been used in the Stablemate Club yet, in order of how much they're looking forward to seeing them in the club. It will be interesting to try this again later in 2022, to see how opinions will change given that the most popular choice (Drafter) ended up in the 2022 club!
This fun ranking poll from 2021 was my first time using Microsoft Forms! Unfortunately, I was unaware that the poll locks to new responses over 200 with the type of account I had - thus, I had to scramble and make a second copy of the survey for the rest of the folks who wanted to participate.
While there is not much overall change between the first and second group, the second is a little over a quarter the size of the first sample. I still feel that overall there is a pretty clear picture of what people preferred, but it would have been nice to have the graphic showing all of them together. Thus, I tried to recreate it the best I could in Excel (below).
Here is the final graph I made in Excel to account for the two groups participating in the poll! Sometimes it is necessary to adapt when I get unexpected curveballs.
In late December 2021, I created a poll asking people about their thoughts on the various aspects of the upcoming Christmas Day Surprise! On the screenshots, I highlighted the categories of folks who guessed correctly! 151 folks played along with the guessing.
Guessing the amount of different models in the set! Not many people got this part correct!
What features/colors will be included? (It was several of these options!)
Will it be glossy, matte, or a mix? The glossy fans took this prize!
What will the run size be? I gave this "win" to two categories, since the overall reported amount was strange (not evenly divided by 4). (Even if accounting for the Coal...)
The believers were correct in hoping for a Coal!
The price range was guessed correctly by nearly 50% of participants!
Considering that so many molds were options, it is amazing that 9.3% of people correctly guessed Croi to be the mold used for the main run!
In comparison, 3.3% of folks thought Croi would be the Coal run- however, she was still among the top few guesses.
In another 2021 quick survey, I asked folks to pick as many as 5 molds in each Stablemate category that they'd like to see in the 2022 club - out of molds that had not been used for it yet. This poll was conducted when we only knew about Dax. There were 108 participants!
The drafter just barely beat out the Arabian Mare to take the favorite! Between this poll and the other one I did last year, using the Draft mold was a great move for the 2022 club!
The ASB was the clear favorite out of the G2 molds! None of these molds are being used for 2022.
In (potentially) a surprising twist, the Donkey reigns supreme over the other G3 molds! None of these molds were picked up for 2022, either.
There isn't as much of a clear cut favorite among the G4 molds! None of these are featured in the 2022 club.
The Fell Pony, Indian Pony, and Princess Charming molds are all quite popular choices here! Hopefully, those who voted for Princess Charming will be pleased with Phineas!
Even though there are only 3 molds in this lineup, I left the *5* verbiage in here since this survey will be re-used in the future. :) Lyric and the Cantering Morgan are both members of the SMC 2022 lineup!
