All participants identified congestion as the most prominent symptom. Those with a deviated septum are also three times more likely to develop sinusitis.
Interviewees noted that congestion intensifies when lying down, making sleep the most difficult time.
Over half (57%) of participants use neti pots regularly, citing them as the most effective relief method.
Early ideation revealed that no concept matched the effectiveness of the centuries-old neti pot. This led us back to research to understand why more individuals with septal deviation aren't using this technique regularly.
For those sterilizing water by boiling and cooling it, the process can take over an hour, an inconvenient routine that requires planning ahead or late-night trips between the kitchen and bathroom.
Making it worse, traditional neti pots are often made from low-grade plastic and need replacing every three months. As a result, many skip the process entirely, sacrificing sleep quality and overall well-being.
The vertical, streamlined design fits neatly into bathroom spaces without adding clutter.
Easily fill water through the wide-mouth opening for quick, mess-free use.
The built-in heating element allows the entire process to take place in the bathroom with a single button press. Once sterilized, integrated blades agitate the water to accelerate cooling.
The color band shifts from red during boiling to green when the water is ready to use. Unlike the traditional hour-long process, Beti can complete it in just 17 minutes.
Made from flexible, food-grade polypropylene, Beti lets users control water pressure with a squeeze and is dishwasher-safe for long-term use, not just 3 months. Interchangeable nozzles make it hygienic for shared use.
