My name is Aloysius Ignatius Leong (0339893), a first-year student from Semester 2 of the Bachelor(Hons) of Science in Architecture module that I am undertaking at Taylor's University. I am passionate about all things architectural and though still early in my journey, I intend to make full use of my experience here to further explore the unique and exciting world of architecture.
Architectural Design II introduces the principles and methods of analysis, abstraction, and synthesis in design thinking that are common to many design fields, including building and architecture. The key emphasis of the studio is “User and Context”, which investigates the relationship between user and natural environment.

Theories of Asian Architecture
Theories of Asian Architecture explores the history of the South, Southeast and East Asian architecture as a whole within a systematic treatment of architectural design and construction, building science and technology, garden design and city planning through three key themes: sustainability, tradition and modernity, and globalization.

Building Construction and Materials
Building Construction and Materials intends to inform the students on the basic building construction and materials used in the construction of small to medium scale buildings. It focuses on developing an understanding of the principle of the building elements which include the substructure and superstructure and common construction materials such as concrete, masonry, timber, metal, and glass.

Architectural Design III requires the integration of architecture to the genius loci and designing architecture to be expressive, functional and responsive to the specific site. The key emphasis of the studio is “Experiencing Space and Place”, which investigates cultural values and the influence of the local community in the creative architectural process.
