Ignacio Alioto

Ignacio was born in 1888 in San't Elia. He is the oldest son of Giuseppe Alioto and Stefana Balestrieri Alioto.

The older sister of Ignacio, Antonina Alioto never made it to America. She was the older sister to Ignacio, Giuseppe, Francesco, Giovanni, Nunzio, Salvatore, Mariano, and Annetta. These are pictures of Antonina's daughter, Catherine Alioto Alioto. She is the one on the right. The other girl in the photo is Antonina Alioto. Catherine would die of influenza in 1917 (during the worldwide flu epidemic that spread during World War I). Catherine was close friends with Annetta Alioto.
