Historical Figures

I have many historical figures in my lineage. The following have been verified through my research and documentation

James Chilton

He was one of the signers of the Mayflower Charter and the onlysigner to die aboard the Mayflower as it was docked at Cape Cod. He was also the oldest passenger, at age  64.  James was my 12th great-grandfather through my maternal grandmother's lineage. His wife, Susanna (Furner?) Chilton would perish during the first infection after landing, in January of 1621

Mary Chilton

Legend has it, Mary was the first person to step on Plymouth Rock after the Mayflower had arrived. Mary, born in 1607, was 13 as the Mayflower ended its voyage. Mary was my 11th great-aunt, and the daughter of James Chilton and Susanna (Furner?) Chilton.

Priscilla (Mullins) Alden and John Alden

Priscilla was a passenger on the Mayflower when it landed on Plymouth Rock on Novermber 21, 1620. She was 18 when she left for America. She married fellow Mayflower passenger John Alden. Priscilla and John were my 11th great-grandparents, through my maternal grandmother's lineage.

Katherine White Carver

Katherine White Carver was a passenger of the Mayflower and was married to the first governor of the colony, John Carver. Katherine died in mid 1621 after surviving the first winter. Katherine was my 1st cousin 13x removed through my maternal grandfather's lineage

Composer Johann Sebastian Bach

Johann Sebastian Bach was my 4th cousin 9x removed through my maternal grandfather's side of the family. We connect through my 12th great-grandparents Michael Kern (1529-1603) and Maria Elisabeth Kallenbach (1530-1587)

Quentin Tarantino, even though not a "historical figure", is a famed Hollywood director. He is my 7th cousin 1x removed through my paternal grandfather's side of the family. He is the director of films including From Dusk to Dawn, Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Django Unchained. We connect through my 6th great-grandparents Gaetano Balistreri (aft 1696-1771) and Angela Magherita Pagano (1713-1764)
