Description:
There was not much for this unit, just a SIMPath and a few terms. In this unit we learned about databases, more specifically data, information, knowledge and wisdom
Data is the raw and unprocessed facts that are obtained by the use of measurement instruments
Information is the data that has been processed and structed with context added
Knowledge is the ability to use information strategically to achieve objectives
Wisdom is the ability to select objected that are supportive of a general set of values
Lessons Learned:
Though this lesson was short and simplified I still learned quite a bit. I learned information (wink, wink) that I probably would not have looked into or gained the knowledge (again wink, wink) of prior. I now know the differences between these technical details of databases and will be able to distinguish between these details in the future.
