Introduction to Kirkpatrick Level 1 Survey:
Thank you for taking this course and being a part of the effort to increase financial literacy in young adults. Your feedback and reaction to the content and experience of this course is important in ensuring that this course is meeting the learning needs of the participants. Your valuable input can provide insights as to how the design, content, and accessibility of this course can be updated to remain an engaging and relevant resource for learners like you. Below are the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) the course hopes to have accomplished.
CLOs - By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Define predatory lending and articulate its key characteristics, including the mechanisms it employs to target vulnerable individuals.
Identify predatory lending practices and differentiate them from traditional lending options based on specific characteristics and terms.
Explain the detrimental effects of predatory lending on individuals, families, and communities, citing specific examples and case studies.
Recognize key red flags of predatory lending, including manipulative marketing techniques, hidden fees, and confusing contract language, and explain their significance.
Utilize online resources and tools to conduct research on lending products, evaluate the credibility of lenders, and perform comparative analysis to identify safe borrowing options.
Identify and access appropriate consumer protection resources, regulatory agencies, and support networks to seek guidance when facing predatory lending situations.
I utilized Google Forms to create this survey and find this to be a simple, intuitive platform for this purpose and appreciate the seamless compatibility with Google Classroom, which I have selected for my LMS. I took inspiration for my questions from the course resources shared and modified them to gauge the learner’s reactions and their satisfaction with the course content, layout, accessibility, and successful integration of interactive media. I hope to receive candid feedback from the learners and continue the iteration process to evolve this course into an even more relevant resource that provides an engaging experience that meets the needs of a diverse group of learners. In future attempts at creating these surveys, I’d like to experiment with different platforms such as TalentLMS and Canvas to expand my know-how.
