We could all use a little help in certain areas at times.
Comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations are used to identify an individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, better understand behavioral and emotional functioning, and determine if challenges are developmentally/age appropriate or could benefit from some support. This is done by objectively measuring subjective concerns, including verbal skills, visuospatial skills, reasoning, attention, executive functioning, memory & learning, social skills, behaviors, and personality.
If you have concerns for yourself, child, parent, or a loved one, a neuropsychological evaluation can help provide diagnostic clarity and develop a treatment plan with accommodations, interventions, and resources for the home, community, school or work, and friends or relationships.
Common concerns include:
Neurodevelopmental concerns: ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, NVLD
Learning challenges: SLD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia
Mood symptoms: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder
Trauma: PTSD, adjustment disorders, attachment disorders
Behavioral concerns: oppositional/defiant behaviors, conduct problems
Neurocognitive changes: Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, TBI/concussion, stroke
Personality/relationship difficulties
