The voucher EDCC10 takes 10% off the plan price shown in the Airalo store, and it has to be applied before payment. It cannot be added to a completed order afterwards, and there is no reliable way to have 10% credited back once you have paid full price. That asymmetry is the whole reason to resolve doubts before you press pay rather than after. Refunds or chargebacks on a discounted order return the amount actually paid, not the pre-discount price, and the voucher itself does not come back to you.
Several things about EDCC10 are not stated externally, so they are fair subjects for a message to Airalo before you buy:
The exact expiry date of the code.
Whether it is single-use per account or can be used on a later order.
Whether it is limited to first purchases or also works on repeat ones.
Whether top-ups, bought from My eSIMs rather than as a new profile, count as eligible orders.
Whether any minimum order value applies.
Whether particular package types or promotional plans are excluded.
Whether store credit or referral credit can be combined with the code in one transaction.
Codes on the platform are typically single-use per account, and the safe working assumption is one code per order with no stacking on top of other offers or an active sale. If an answer matters to your plan, ask rather than guess.
Some things resolve themselves in under a minute on the payment screen, so there is no need to wait for a response. Select the plan, tap Buy Now, expand the promo code row (the tag or ticket icon above the total in the app, a text box in the order summary panel on the web), type EDCC10 exactly with no spaces and apply it. If a discount line appears and the total drops by 10%, the code is live and eligible for that order. If you are testing whether the voucher works alongside loyalty or referral credit, that result is shown on the payment screen when you try it. The same test applies to top-ups and to store-credit or gift-card purchases, where eligibility can differ: apply the code and check whether the total actually changes.
Support is not the only source here; the plan detail page carries most of what you need. Confirm the data allowance and the validity window in days before you go anywhere near the code field. Check whether the package includes a phone number, since most Airalo packages are data-only with no local number or traditional SMS. Note that validity generally starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at the destination rather than at purchase, and that unused data does not roll over once the window closes. The 10% reduces the price only; it does not add data or extend validity.
Ask yourself, or check the compatible device list Airalo publishes, whether your handset supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Carrier-locked phones may refuse third-party profiles. Compatible devices generally include iPhones from the XS generation onwards, recent Google Pixels, and Samsung Galaxy S and Z flagships. On payment, cards are accepted and, depending on region, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Bank foreign transaction fees and exchange rates sit outside checkout and are not reduced by the voucher, so a question about an unexpected charge on your statement belongs with your bank rather than with Airalo.
Do not ask for the discount to be applied retroactively; that is the one thing the mechanics rule out. And do not try to work around a single-use limit by creating duplicate accounts. That breaches retailer terms and puts the accounts at risk. An Airalo account is needed in practice anyway, so that eSIMs can be reinstalled or topped up later; sign-in is available by email, Google or Apple.
Once the discount line is confirmed and payment is complete, the receipt is emailed and the eSIM appears under My eSIMs. Install over home Wi-Fi via direct install or the QR code and SM-DP+ address with activation code, keep the line off until arrival, then select the Airalo line and enable Data Roaming for that line only. If there is no signal at first, toggle airplane mode or select a partner network manually.
