While it is frustrating to have to wait past an expected delivery date, what we are facing is being felt nation-wide. The combination of a lack of an equivalent post-pandemic labor force, supply chain issues for required parts and extended backlogs have led to the common delivery time for a new truck to grow from 10-12 months to almost 3 years once the order is placed. Our apparatus committee worked for well over a year to get an order in. Now we have to wait. Like everyone is waiting. In the meantime, we will keep membership apprised of any significant construction news as we receive it.
New report and videos below show a small sampling of the present climate in apparatus manufacturing.
