Specs list a 750 gallon tank not 1000. I believe we will only entertain 1000 gallon options as it was one of the top priorities listed in the provided feature request list. How do you plan to increase the water capacity without lengthening the truck?
Plan updated. See Line Spec - Revision 76; 4010-0179
How much better will this E-One be compared to the existing E2 in regards to turning radius? The presented truck is the longest from all vendors and while the wheel base of 192" (16') is much shorter than E2's 18' 5", is there other changes in current E-One design that would make this a more maneuverable vehicle?
Addressed better cramp angle, larger tires and possible Boston bumper cuts (45 degree ends) as items that make this design better than E2 in turning radius.
It appears from the drawing that the design only accommodates 1 section of suction hose while the specs list driver and officer side. Which is accurate?
Plan updated. See Line Spec - Revision 76; 3365-0028, 3365-0035
What are the advantages of going with the stainless body? Where will that be constructed and how does that factor into the price as apposed to aluminum construction.
Manufactured in NY (closer than FL), easier for inspection, cost savings of delivery offsets increase in higher construction cost
What is the weight differential between aluminum and SS bodies? Would the axles and suspension need to be different to accommodate the extra weight?
None or neglitable, spec already has beefier front and rear suspensions
Could you please explain the rear compartment, how it is configured and the reasoning behind doing that.
As drawn has a 4" intake in the back compartment, to small to add a booster reel unless intake removed
We are considering a TFT remote controlled main intake due to ease of operation from panel, repair options and potential cost savings. Thoughts? Can it be engineered to eliminate or at least greatly minimize the amount it sticks out? This has and continues to be an issue given our tight quarters.
agreed with choice, change drivers main intake to a 0" fitting with a TFT low profile appliance would alleviate the part protruding from the side past the edge
Interior plastic - E2 has way too much. How much interior plastic would we be getting with this design?
E-One eliminated that level, everything now is metal
What are the seating configuration options in the cab to maximize cab-based storage for EMS? External/internal access behind driver/officer or back wall?
Mid size cab w/ 2 ems cabinets w/ exterior and interior doors and 2 seats center of back wall; short cab with no outside ems cabinets and two rear facing seats behind the front seats with a low height cabinet between and behind the engine tunnel - saves 14"; possible "parade seats" on rear wall (folding w/ no scba)
Speak to seating specs: brand rationale; seat belt improvements; scba retainer improvements; material choice
Already spec'd w/ ReadyReach extender and Bostrom SecureAll brackets; black vinyl is spec'd Not sure which series (300-500)
Door handles - both exterior and interior. Not happy with those on E2.
New updated handles (pull-down)
What is the first step height for the cab?
18"; advised to change spec to full step and full length doors
I could not find a reference to the compartment liners (ex. Turtle Tile). Is that included in this spec and if not, what is the added cost?
Stated it is included in price but not in factory spec since added at the dealer; would need to get in writing to confirm
I personally would like to see the truck equipped with the Dual Dynamics Crossfire dual tire pressure equalization system. Thoughts?
already in spec
Can you provide an intake flowmeter that shows how much water has come into the apparatus?
Yes, there are devices that are popular in other areas of the country. Information and option will be researched and provided at a later date.
Do you recommend one emergency lighting vendor over others for this truck? Why?
Whelen is spec'd on this truck. Although slighter higher in cost initially, the company provides a lifetime warranty.
Do you have a location for the 17' Little Giant Defender ladder?
Yes, R1; it will fit in the limited space by the ladder protrusion.
Other notes/suggestions:
E-One uses: SS
