For Western Experience, Alex became a show technician so they could focus on outside shows. Alongside working at the park, they would also be a Lighting Designer and a Stage Manager for the Spring Season at Pima Community College.
There are four different tech tracks. Each track runs multiple shows a day (indoor and/or outdoor). Alex is trained to do all four tracks on any given day. Usually, they are the technician for the outdoor stunt shows and work with pyro and special effects. The other track they do often is the indoor Musical and Can-Can. When needed, they fix/troubleshoot any tech related issues, offer suggestions when able, and make sure all tech operations are safe parkwide. It is a big park, when a new venue is opened they help transport and set up equipment.
As soon as Nightfall ended, the next season Yuletide, began. There were less actors to be responsible for, but stunt actors were still their main responsibility. They would walk around the park making sure actors and guests were okay and nothing was amiss. They even got to work with horses for a while!
Alex managed multiple actors working in Mazes and Haunts. They also managed the stunt actors. There were more than 90 actors involved overall as their responsibility. Scare Leads were assigned to help manage groups but they always made sure to check in with all of them, even the other actors who they were not responsible for. They worked alongside one other amazing Stage Manager and both did their best to keep a positive environment. When issues arise they had to write incident reports alongside any rehearsal and performance reports. They would chat to actors about any misbehaviors and try to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
When working with the stunt actors, Alex made sure their safety was always put first. They would communicate with eachother if anything arose and holds were done if any safety issues were concerned.
