Members

Prof. Joono Cheong received the B.S.,M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, South Korea, in 1995, 1997, and 2003, respectively. 

In 2003, he was a Researcher with the Institute of Precision Machine and Design, Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea. 

From 2003 to 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Research Laboratory of Electronics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA. 

Since 2005, he has been with the Department of Control and Instrumentation Engineering, Korea University, Sejong, South Korea, where he is currently a professor. 

He is the Director of the Laboratory for Advanced Robotics, Korea University. His research interests include robotic manipulation, motion planning, and mechanical systems control.
