Mutual Respect. You will be treated upfront as soon as you step in our world with the respect we would like ourselves. If you're feeling though there's a problem with staff or another player, try to resolve it.
Privacy. All players have a right to privacy and under no circumstances should any player ask or demand real world information. Some personal identifying information may be recorded such as IP address and email address for account administration purposes only. You have the right to have your information removed, however it means your access to the game will also be removed.
Participation. All players have the right to join any scene in a public room unless something IC prevents their character from doing so.
Freedom. All players have the right to have their character act in the way that is to their sheet.
Bullying, Harassment. This is not tolerated. You need to be upfront with others if they are bothering you, however if after warning they continue, report it.
Conflict is a part of life, it is a part of the game here. You shouldn't sweep aside conflict, but instead we encourage you to resolve conflict with these suggestions.
This world was created so that all players have the ability to be involved heavily with the collaborative creative process rather than being spectators. Each action your character does has the ability to impact the storyline, especially in regards to Permanent Resolutions, and so we ask you to treat this responsibly.
If you feel that you are doing something that will have permanent consequences, ask yourself:
If you feel that things are progressing towards Permanent Resolutions, you're encouraged as a member of the Collaborative Creative Process once you identify the conflict to speak with the other player and explore steps in resolving that might not be Permanent Resolutions. This does not limit players from killing, etc, but the focus in our world isn't about killing characters, it's about each of us being storytellers.
Please do not use images or photos that are not in public domain. To maintain the setting, we ask that you use paintings from medieval/renaissance period.
Romance, TS. Consent is required from all parties, and we request things are kept at a PG level. Without consent, don't do it.
Racism, Hate Speech. This isn't a place for it. If someone gives you a heads up that what you're saying isn't cool, take a step back and work together on making the community here stronger. We're better with our diversity.
Create. "Better to give than receive". Players are encouraged to create PRPs and adventures that link with the current chapter of the game's story which they all share. The more PRPs and adventures that are ran, the higher the XP that can be earned and the higher challenges that can be attempted. We'll have a PRP Guide for players to follow. There will be a set goal of PRPs and adventures with appropriate challenge levels before we can proceed as a group to the next chapter. This way, we're encouraged to generate and make fun for others, so that we can all progress.
Impact. "As on earth, so in heaven". Unlike other games, players will have a unique place in Aesca where they are able to create theme based on the foundation lore of the game and the guidelines given so the game changes based on their actions and interpretations which creates a more living world. This puts a significant amount of power to the players as an important component in the Collaborative Creative Process. Players can impact on the entire world by the choices they do together. This means though it takes effort and collaboration, rather than a single person. With logs and monthly submissions on their PRPs and adventures, what they've done will become approved theme.
