Time

In the midwestern United States, we usually say "It's one thirty," or "It's two thirty," etc., not "It's half past one," or "It's half past two." People will understand you if you say that, however, because they say it in other parts of the country.

In the midwest, we also say "after" more than "past," e.g., "It's five after two," not "It's five past two."
