Example:

If I work enough hours, I will take a vacation in the fall.

Speak or write 3 more sentences with similar "if clauses" (first conditional tense).

Group D: Compare This Summer to Previous Summers

Example:

This summer in Wisconsin was hotter than last summer in Wisconsin.

The days are longer in the summer than the winter days here in Wisconsin.

Group E: Interview Someone about His or Her Summers

Example:

Have you always taken a vacation from work in the summer? Yes, I have. (No, I haven't.)

Have you ever water-skied? Where? Yes, I have. I water-skied in Silver Lake in Kenosha County. (No, I haven't, but I'd like to!)

Speak or write three questions in the present perfect tense with three answers.

Group F: Give instructions for one of your favorite summer activities using imperatives or narrative tenses (past simple, past continuous and past perfect tense).

Example:

My daughter has always wanted to move to Hawaii. Finally, her dream will come true next month.

First, she had to find a full-time job. She was lucky to get a transfer in the company where she was working.

Next, she needed to find a place to live. Her friends helped her connect with someone who was looking for a roommate.

She wanted to take her car because there isn't real good public transportation in Hawaii. She got information about shipping her car from California.
