Description:
SCP-963-1 is an intricate amulet measuring approximately 15 centimeters in circumference, crafted from an unknown alloy resembling white gold. The amulet features thirteen brilliant-cut diamonds of undisclosed carat weight arranged in a starburst pattern around an oval-cut ruby of unknown origin. SCP-963-1 was recovered from the personal effects of ██████ ███, an individual discovered deceased under circumstances suggestive of suicide. The discovery occurred amidst a collection of occult literature. Our field agent, operating in the vicinity, noted that attempts to damage 963-1 proved futile. Subsequently, the artifact was secured in accordance with protocol XLR-8R-██.
Dr. Jack Bright, a respected Junior Staff researcher, assumed responsibility for investigating the properties of SCP-963-1 and was granted access to [REDACTED]. Later that same year, a containment breach of SCP-076-2 transpired (refer to document 076-2-19A), resulting in [REDACTED] fatalities and ██ casualties. Dr. Bright was manually transporting SCP-963-1 near the containment unit of SCP-076-2 when the breach occurred, leading to his untimely demise (designated KIB, killed in breach).
Approximately █ days following the breach, D1-113, tasked with debris clearance, discovered SCP-963-1 amidst the wreckage and picked it up. Upon contact, an immediate and discernible transformation occurred in D1-113. The details of the subsequent interview are as follows.
