This year at Abbeyfield School, we’re launching a variety of fun and exciting reading challenges for both students and staff! It’s all part of the UK Government’s National Year of Reading 2026 – a chance for everyone to dive into books, discover new stories, and celebrate the power of reading together.
And don’t forget our school’s reading motto:
🌟 “We Read to Succeed at Abbeyfield School.” 🌟
Whether you love adventure stories, gripping mysteries, or fascinating non-fiction, there’s a challenge for you. Let’s make 2026 a year to remember – one page at a time! 📖💡
đź“š KS3 Reading Log Formđź“š
Every time you finish a book, eBook, or audiobook, you can log it using the form below. It’s really simple! Just fill in your first name, surname, tutor group, the title of your book, the author’s name, and whether it was a book, eBook, or audiobook.
For every book you record, you’ll get 5 House Points that will go towards your Literacy House Awards. 📚✨ The more you read, the more points you earn for yourself and for your house!
And that’s not all… at the end of each term, one lucky reader will win a special book prize. So get reading, keep logging, and watch those House Points add up! 🎉
đź“š The Verse Novel Reading Challenge đź“š
Take part in The Verse Novel Reading Challenge and collect House Points as you read! 📚✨
All you need to do is log the book, eBook, or audiobook you’ve read or listened to using the form below. Make sure to include your first name, surname, tutor group, the title, the author’s name, and whether it was a book, eBook, or audiobook.
Each entry will earn you 10 House Points towards your Literacy House Awards. 🎉 Remember, it’s one entry per student.
At the end of the term, one lucky reader will win a fantastic book bundle! Good luck and happy reading! 🌟

Want to earn House Points while you read? Just log your book, eBook, or audiobook using the form. Include your name, tutor, title, author, and format – that’s it!

Earn House Points for Your Reading!
Log each book, eBook, or audiobook you have read or listened to using the form below. Please include your first name, surname, house, book/audiobook/eBook title, author name(s), and reading format.
Each entry you record will earn 5 House Points for your house.
Read 6 books by the end of June 2025 to be entered into a prize draw for a mystery prize. Complete the challenge and you will also receive a Staff 6-Books Reading Challenge Certificate.
