Abbey Community College, which opened in September 2002, caters for boys and girls from 1st year to Leaving Certificate. The school also provides Post Leaving Certificate courses in Business Studies, Information Processing and Childcare. We aim to create and maintain an atmosphere within the school in which each student can fulfil his/her potential. As education should be for the whole person, we are concerned not only with academic success but also with the social, physical and moral development of the individual.
Abbey Community College has a dedicated staff whose efforts in the classroom and in the area of extra curricular activities are reflected in the enthusiasm of a confident and talented student body.
Our students are encouraged to be respectful, caring and concerned for the needs of others.Abbey Community College offers a comprehensive range of subjects from 1st year to Leaving Certificate level. On our Open Evening and Enrolment Day parents/guardians and prospective students are invited to see and discuss the range of subjects available and get advice on making subject choices. Parents are encouraged to take a keen interest in the student's education and parent/teacher liaison is vital in monitoring progress. Parents/Guardians are facilitated in every way when they wish to meet the Principal/Deputy Principal and staff members. Appointments for such meetings are made by contacting the office. In addition Parent/Teacher Meetings are organised once a year for each year group.

In order to streamline our application process, Abbey Community College has moved to an online application system. Here you will be able to make your online application, accept a place (including the submission of all documentation required by the school during this stage of the process) and apply for a transfer from another school to Abbey Community College.
