18 pannelli (15 x 10 cm)

Ma is a modular work composed of 18 wooden panels that, together, define the overall composition. The title refers to the Japanese concept of "void"—a principle in Eastern philosophy that does not signify absence, but rather evokes harmony and the space necessary for form to exist.
While the color palette pays homage to Japanese aesthetics, the work's fragmented structure serves as a metaphor for the fragmentation of the self, inviting the observer to reflect on the decomposition and recomposition of identity.

Absence is a unique, large-scale modular work (60 x 60 cm), meticulously assembled from nine individual canvases (20 x 20 cm each). The decorative motif, developed in shades of blue, achieves full coherence only when the units are arranged with precision, visually articulating the fragmentation of the self.
Conceptually, the final square composition features a striking void at its center: The Hole. This physical and visual absence emphasizes the human condition of lack and inner emptiness. The work proposes a necessary reflection on inhabiting this void, rather than attempting to obscure it with "temporary plugs" that fuel an infinite and illusory pursuit of well-being. This approach resonates deeply with the concepts explored in Silence is a Living Thing by Chandra Livia Candiani and the acceptance of lack discussed in Anna Llenas's illustrated book, The Hole.
Composizione in Solitudine condivisa

Acrilico e collage (ritagli di testo) su tela
This canvas is part of my evolving Compositions series and, like its predecessors, speaks of fragmentation, though with a specific focus on the theme of solitude. The work reflects on how loneliness makes us feel like many detached fragments, each isolated within its own space.
A careful observer will notice partially obscured text: these are snippets from a research project on solitude, which has now become a collective phenomenon that must be addressed together. Although state-level interventions remain scarce (especially for the youth and the elderly, who are the most affected), measures such as "social prescribing" are beginning to emerge.
There are three main types of solitude: voluntary isolation, objective solitude, and subjective solitude, the latter being the most dangerous, as it can become chronic and lead to depression. Just as these words are hidden, many aspects of this phenomenon remain out of the public eye. With this painting, I invite the viewer to reflect on this paradox: in a hyper-connected world, so many suffer in silence.

I imagined Composition in Ochre and Spices as a stroll through Morocco. The ochre and bright yellow tones capture the intense light of the African sun, while the deep reds and browns evoke the pigments, scents, and ancient walls of the homes.
The true innovation here is the use of collage: I chose to blend painting with paper elements and text taken directly from my journey to Marrakech. These fragments integrate into the composition, creating an unexpected texture and a fascinating "peek-a-boo" effect that generates a sense of mystery. It is not merely color; it is matter and memory layered together.

Behind the abstract facade of this Narrative Composition in Violet lies a fragile and universal truth. Words are embedded within blocks of color, like secret messages woven into the urban fabric. The work is a visual translation of an intimate thought:
"Deep down, we are just shaky glass mosaics,
we try to hold the pieces together
and we don’t always succeed,
and when we fall,
we shatter into a thousand pieces,
and we make a great deal of noise."

Asymmetric Composition in Emerald explores the power of the pause and the contrast. On the left, a dense fabric of geometric modules, a true ecosystem of greens, suggests density, information, or perhaps the complexity of life in continuous motion. Each small rectangle is a meticulous detail, a precise rhythmic note.
To the right lies the vast expanse of raw canvas. This void is not absence, but breath. It is the necessary silence that allows the density to acquire meaning. It is the space we are invited to occupy with our own interpretation. The compositional asymmetry creates a visual tension that is the beating heart of this painting: the need to balance "doing" with "being," noise with stillness.

This canvas is an explosion of warmth and movement, where shades of yellow, orange, and red dance in a choreography that is seemingly chaotic, yet deeply studied.
The term "dissonant" in the title does not suggest discord, but rather a creative tension. It is the sensation of a repressed energy seeking release, of elements that, although not perfectly aligned, generate an unexpected vitality.

This canvas is not merely about color; it is a profound reflection on the fragmentation of the Self. In a world that demands we be one, the truth is that we are manifold. Each block of dark, vibrant blue and every broken line symbolizes our shifting identities.
The work juxtaposes these fragments, not to unify them, but to celebrate their dynamic coexistence. Blue—the color of depth and intellect—suggests that true richness lies not in unity, but in recognizing and integrating the complexity of our many "selves."
