This was my first version of my music video. I was really pleased with the performance element of my music video. I found a houseboat in Shoreham that was inexpensive to hire equipped with lots of music equipment, lighting and a smoke machine, my drummer is also really talented and loves to perform. The shots were a good foundation for my music video, it gave me a lot to work with and that I knew I could evolve. I started filming early, when the weather was good and this gave me time to really work out what was working and what was not. I was really pleased with the backwards walking shot and how I used a gimball to track my main character walking backwards along Brighton seafront.
In my second version, I really refined everything. I took out shots that did not work and came up with new ideas. I refined the editing, smoothing the transitions and making sure everything worked on the beat of the music. I made sure there were no weak clips in it, I wanted all scenes to really contribute. This was my most complete version before colour grading.
