Cell Phone Use Paper - Research Paper - Cell Phone Use.docx
Discussion on cell phones
This paper touched the importance on using cell phones in class while also looking at the drawbacks. This was a paper done for my class while talking about technology in the classroom. It was an important subject to talk about because it is being more consistently used during lessons. It was an important paper to get the topic started. There is a lot to talk about when it comes to technology. It talks of the issues that can arise while keeping in mind the benefit that bring for the students.
It shows my understanding of methods of inquiry and meaningful interactions with the students. It is important to realize that students and the education world is always changing. It highlights the importance of relating to students and making a lesson plan that fits their needs. It was a technologically based paper that covered the topic of an everchanging classroom. It showed that I was making improvements in the teaching world. It is important to realize that curriculums will change and methods of teaching need to be updated yearly.
I learned that classrooms need to adjusts with the opinions of students. It is important to not be one-sided on different topics. It is important to acclimate with the times and make sure you are up to date with the current state of education. A student may relate to the subject matter more if the subject is made more interesting which can be done by the substitution of phones. Furthermore, I learned that my future classroom might be adjusted based on the times. The curriculum cannot be the same year in and year out. Therefore, I will be open to modifications that can be made in my lessons.

Discussion on Questioning Table
In one of my methods classes, we went over the different types of questions that could be asked to students. This table allows for the students to think in different ways. A teacher can be more direct with their teaching or allow their students to think a little bit more. This can to PE because many students do not know how exercise can truly benefit the body. Therefore, teaching them the benefits can stem from asking them questions and giving them real life situations. The table contains many different questions that can be asked which could be beneficial towards different personalities. Elementary school students could benefit from this because many need the teacher to start the conversation first to have a conversation. It is important to get the kids talking in class to help them learn a little bit better.
This relates to the standard because teachers need to practice their evidence based practice by asking questions to the students. It is important in including this kind of method of practice to further learning. It is sometimes hard to reach a student and get them talking. It is important to try different strategies when thinking about students. I think I made progress through this assignment when thinking how to move forward to get students to open up discussion in the classroom. It helped to diversify my questioning abilities for all ages of students.
This has connections to my future because of the idea that students ask questions and are very curious about the ideas that teachers come up with. Being a student teacher made me realize that students will ask questions about warmups, dress code, lockers, and sports. Every aspect of the class will get questioned. So, I found that it is important to allow these questions and to be able to answer them.
