Panel Resources

On February 11th -- together with Big Bend Hospice, Elder Care Services, Inc. and Tallahassee Senior Center and Foundation -- we hosted a very successful "ask the experts" panel about COVID-19 and the COVID-19 vaccine. Our expert panelists for this event were Dr. Christie Alexander, Dr. Joedrecka Brown Speights, and Dr. Niharika Suchak. You can learn more about each of our panelists below.

Thank you to our partners and the doctors for generously giving their time and expertise to make this event a success!

The Zoom recording is not available, but the audio recording has been combined with the slide deck as a video below. The top FAQs are also being compiled into a summary document to accompany the video.

If you have any issues with accessing these resources, please email us: 500wstallahassee@gmail.com.

Please remember, while our panelists are medical professionals, this presentation is not a substitute for discussing your particular concerns or medical situation with your doctor. Please consult your physician to answer any specific medical questions.

Webinar VIdeo

A note about the video: Due to some technical difficulties, the audio does not start exactly at the webinar beginning. We removed the slide on how mRNA vaccines work (at about 25 minutes) since we did not have a way to attribute it to the owner. However, you can find a video that explains the same process in an understandable way at this link.
