God is holy. He is set apart and different from the rest of creation, and that includes humans. Sin makes it impossible for humans to be holy. Sin causes us to be separated from God because He is holy and we are not. God had a plan - to send his Son Jesus to rescue us. God allows us to be holy in his sight only through what Jesus did on the cross.

What does it mean that God is holy? Why is it important for us that God is without sin?
Can we be "holy" just be trying hard? Will we ever be good enough?
If we can't be good enough or earn it, how can we be made "holy in His sight?"
