2 Timothy 3:10-17
God's Word is Divine and Inspired by Him
10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Paul writes to Timothy and tells Him about the Power and Glory of Jesus...Paul and the other early apostles and disciples were spreading the Word of Jesus, which is very important...In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and Paul writes that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."...Then Peter tells us in 2 Peter 1:21: "For prophecy never came by human will, but people moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."...And we learn about the role of the Holy Spirit in John 16:13: "But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all Truth...He will not speak on His Own Authority, but will speak whatever He hears, and He will tell you what is to come."...And in 1 Corinthians 2:10-12, Paul tells us: "But God has revealed it to us through the Spirit...The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God...For what person knows a person’s thoughts except the Spirit of that person, which is in him?...So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God."...
These are verses that highlight the Divine inspiration of Scripture, the role of the Holy Spirit in interpreting and applying it, and the importance of the Bible as a source of Truth and help in guiding us in life...And there is One Person, One Man (if is fair to call Him a Man) who embodies all these things and can save you with just His Word, His Touch, or His Teachings...It is the One they call Immanuel, which means God with us...And it is He who encompasses all of the Bible...Peter knew that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved...
Jesus fulfills not only the Old Testament Scripture, but also all the New Testament verses...The Bible is very important in knowing God and His Son...And we need the Bible to know God and its help in bringing us salvation through a Savior, named Christ our LORD.. .
Jesus can save people by Himself with no written words, and He did that when He walked the earth and dwelt among us...Then He sent His disciples out in His Great Commission and they went out into the world without the written Word of God or Himself and they, too saved people...So we can see that Jesus and His early disciples were able to spread the Gospel without the written New Testament and people got to know Him through His followers...But Jesus is Divine and the first Disciples were taught by Jesus for three years...They were eyewitnesses of His Majesty...
The Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit...And it is still a crucial tool for understanding God's Word and applying it to our lives...There is a Great Importance of Scripture...The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is a Divinely inspired record of God's revelation to humanity...It provides a clear and authoritative account of God's character, His plan for salvation, and His moral standards...And we need all these things in our lives...It is how we get to know God and His Son...
The Bible first reveals how He took Adam and Eve to teach them about Himself...Then later, God took Abraham and His Son, and then His grandson and taught them about Himself...Through the writings about the Three Patriarchs, we learn much about God...In the next Bible chapters we learn about the nature of God, His attributes, and His plan for humanity...It provides moral guidance, teaching us how to live a godly life...The Bible offers hope, comfort, and strength in times of difficulty...It exposes sin and calls us to repentance...The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in helping us understand and apply Scripture...He illuminates our minds, convicts our hearts, and empowers us to live a godly life...As we read and study the Bible, the Holy Spirit can speak to us personally, applying the truth to our specific situations...We need to better balance our personal experiences with Scripture...While personal experiences with God are valuable, they must always be grounded in Scripture...The Bible provides a solid foundation for our faith and protects us from false teachings and heresies...It is important to strike a balance between personal experiences and biblical truth...Our experiences should be interpreted in light of Scripture, and our understanding of Scripture should be shaped by the guidance of the Holy Spirit...
In conclusion, while the Holy Spirit can work in powerful ways, the Bible remains a crucial tool for spiritual growth and understanding...By studying Scripture and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can deepen our faith and live a life that honors God...Ultimately, Jesus Christ is the culmination of all that is revealed in the Bible...He is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets, the hope of the world, and the source of eternal life...
