2 Timothy 3:10-17
Paul Teaches Timothy about the LORD
10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God's Word is God-breathed and was given to the particular authors of the Bible...God helped write the Bible with His Inspiration to these authors...So the Bible gives us inspirational words to help lift us up, when we are down...Paul taught Timothy about his way of life, his purpose in life, his faith, his patience, his love for others, how he had endured through his times of troubles, his persecutions, his sufferings—the kind of things that happened to him in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions he had to endure to preach the gospel...The two letters Paul sent to Timothy had to be inspiring and encouraging...These Inspiring Words give us hope...A hope of an Eternal Life with the Father and His Son...
The Bible, which includes both the Old and New Testaments, is a Divine Revelation...The Sacred and Holy Books of the Bible are the only books inspired by God...The Bible is a collection of books written over centuries...This collection of books were first passed along orally and then were put down in Words and into the Books of the Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God...All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work...The Bible is a living book still inspiring people and their faith today, still giving us the Hope of the LORD...
God's Word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword...It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones...God is LOVE...This steadfast LOVE of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness...He will never change from the Perfect One He is...He is the same One, yesterday, today, and forever...I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD...So then do not lose heart...Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day...For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an Eternal Weight of Glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen...So to God we turn, Who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us...May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit...And when we get tired and weak, let us hope in the LORD will renew their strength...They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint...
