You don't have to attend every single minute of every competition- but it's important for students to feel supported. Send siblings, cousins, grandparents, friends, or anyone else who wants to attend. Many parents find that they start cheering on their childrens' teams like their favorite sports teams!
Make sure your child has a ride to the competitions and to and from practices. We have many seniors willing to drive, so no pressure if you can't drive them every time, just make sure they have a heads up and enough time to ask for a ride.
Parent meetings take place one to two times every year held by coach Leifson in room 1850 at Davis High. These will be announced to parent and student emails.
A fun part of the club are our family-friendly parties! Dates and times are provided through emails and group texts. Typically we hold parties to kick off the season, after the state tournament, and after the world tournament. All ages are invited- don't hesitate to bring the whole family!
Team meetings this year will be held over zoom. Information will be sent out to those who have filled out application forms.
It's not required, but parents are welcome to help out at the robotics lab! If you're interested in coming in once a week or whenever works with your schedule, talk to Leifson about the approval process.
