So it's Christmas, or the end of the year, or you're graduating, and you want to get your mentor a gift. We get it! Mentors put in a lot of time and effort and change students lives year after year. But the tricky part is what to get them!
If you've got some personal joke or something you know they'd like, then start there! Mentors tend to appreciate the thoughtful things, even if they're homemade or unusual. For example, a few years ago we pooled money and paid for a custom license plate registration for our mentor that was our club's team number as an end of year gift. We also make him a cake with his face on it every year for his birthday, which is a club tradition!
If you cant think of anything to get along those lines, don't worry! Most mentors appreciate you even thinking to get them a gift at the end of the year. Here are a few recommendations we liked!
The rocketbook is a reusable, erasable, scannable notebook! It's incredibly useful and durable! Simply write, scan, fill up the book, and pop it in the microwave to start again!
You can also try Rocketbook Beacons, magnetic whiteboard clips to turn any whiteboard digital!
This is a multi-tool pen, which is convenient and small, especially for the engineering teacher or craftsman types!
Another good option is a nice lighter! This one is a rechargeable electric lighter that's durable and clean!
This is a bamboo fiber, silicon coated takeaway mug. It's earth-friendly and convenient, while being minimalist!
This is a mars- dust globe, like an extra-terrestrial snowglobe!
If your mentor loves star wars, you could consider a wood-burned star wars set! These add a personal touch to a cooking set.
Or, if your mentor loves Marvel, you could consider getting them a Stark Industries hat!
