Fees & Registration

Dokan 2024 is open to two groups of people:

1. Anybody with the rank of graduate / shodan or above in any shintaido descipline

2. Any other student of shintaido attending with the support of their own instructor. If you fall into this second category you will need to supply the name of your instructor during registration. 

Registration Schedule

1. Registration opens: 1 January 2024

2. Early-bird deadline: 1 April 2024

3. Scholarship deadline: 1 May 2024

3. Registration closes: 15 July 2024

To register for this event please fill in the registration form and pay your deposit of GB£200 to reserve your place.

Fees to attend

Event currency is GB£ (pounds sterling)

Fee for all event participants: £480.00 (= approx: US$610.00 or 560.00€)

Non-participant rate: £300.00 (= approx: US$380.00 or 350.00€)

The non-participant rate is available to partners of participants who wish to accompany and support them at this event, but do not wish to take part themselves. It includes full board accommodation, access to the social (non-keiko) elements of the event and permission to watch exam sessions. 

Extra nights

Participants and non-participants who need to arrive a day early on Thursday may do so. The extra fee is £75.00 (= approx: US$95.00 or 85.00€) for one night, full-board accommodation.

British Shintaido does not have a Paypal account. Therefore you need to send funds to Charles' personal Paypal account. He will then forward your deposit to British Shintaido.

3. IMPORTANT: please select 'friends & family' option so that Charles doesn't have to pay Paypal fees on your behalf

Exam fees

If you plan on taking an exam at this event please do NOT mix your registration deposit and exams fee.  Please pay for exams separately using details on the Exam Information page.
