Artist Statement - Scouting 101 is an 80's inspired training video from the VHS era. It follows a scout on their first night in the wild whilst a narrator offers choices & evaluates them. Originally, the film was going to be interactive, where you make choices which determine the fate of the scout. But due to Covid-19, the scope was reduced and interactive element removed. Interactive narratives such as the Bear Grylls' Netflix series, 'You vs Wild' inspired my production. I hope the audience enjoys my production as a unique experience.
