VCE Media Unit 3 & 4

In VCE Media Unit 3 & 4, Students choose from a range of different media forms to create their own work, including short film, magazine or Podcast. They create a narrative and can choose any genre and style while being only limited by their imagination & effort. (And a few other administrative guidelines!).

In Term 2 students spend a term creating a portfolio. They investigate other films and media products that inspire them, experiment with technology and finally, put together a Preproduction Portfolio. Whilst in Term 3 they put that into action and produce their Media Product, whilst recording the process and annotating their initial Portfolio. This year we only had a small class with grand plans, which were unfortunately impacted by Covid-19. Being under lockdown, the usual guidelines changed and students had to get creative with what they produced while following strict health & movement rules. The work submitted by our students shows only a glimpse of their true potential.
