In Semester 2, students learned about a range of Auteurs (Film directors who have a distinctive style across films) and analysed their style after each watching different films. Some famous Auteurs include Tim Burton, Wes Anderson and Sophia Coppola.
After this, students then had the opportunity to plan and create a short film. They could choose any topic and genre to explore. However, they had to adhere to Covid-19 restrictions while filming. Additionally, students were also asked to include an homage to their Auteur in their film. This could be a narrative choice, shot framing or stylistic choice.

Frank decides to destroy the factory he once worked in, it is up to two young apprentices to save the factory from its imminent destruction. My auteur was Christopher Nolan, I hint to his style in this movie by including a character who's wife has died.
