PETITION TO STOP THE MATOACA MEGASITE REZONING AND ASSOCIATED ROADWORK
(East-West Parkway, North-South Connector to 288, Arterial roads, and Rail)
A few of our many concerns about the proposed Matoaca Megasite located in the Bermuda District include:
• the impact of new road development,
• increased truck traffic on Ruffin Mill Road,
• property loss for utilities, rail, new roads, and road widening,
• decreases in property values,
• continuation of the East-West Parkway through Matoaca District to 360.
• over $100 million dollars of your tax dollars needed for infrastructure for a “potential” manufacturing plant.
This zoning request (Case No. 18SN0560) can only be defeated by a vote from the Board of Supervisors. This petition will be presented to the Board of Supervisors to indicate the number of Chesterfield residents impacted by the Mega Site zoning.
To our Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors: Vote 'NO' to Industrial Rezoning of 1675 acres on Branders Bridge Road in the Bermuda District, and 'NO' to the E-W Highway, N-S Connector Road, Rail Line, & Infrastructure related to it.
The list of signers of the electronic petition and all print petition forms will be presented to the Board of Supervisors when they hear the rezoning case, possibly in December or January. (Please complete only one petition.)
