The Brigade Companies at Wootton offer activities to children and young people aged four/five to eighteen. Our regular meetings have plenty to interest everyone with games and sport, crafts and stories, music making and learning life skills or meeting up with their friends. In addition we take part in competitions against other BB/GB Companies, go on Outing/Trips and Camps. In short we have a great time !

WNL isn't just the place where we meet - we are a part of the Church. Whilst we are only just starting out (2016), in my previous company, many of our older members went on to play in the Church music groups, help lead worship on Sundays and a few have gone into the Ministry... It is our hope that WNL will have similar output.

A family service which includes a full programme of Children's activities (from crèche up to School year 9) followed by tea & coffee.
Bedford is the county town of Bedfordshire. This pleasant river-side town, situated near to London, Oxford and Cambridge, has many places to see, and no end of facilities for cultural and leisure pursuits.
In the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland your child will be part of an organisation with almost 60,000 young people in over 1500 Companies.
The BB seeks to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people through the programme of activities that we offer young people.
Our programmes are balanced to provide every child and young person opportunities to take part in a wide range of activities, learn new skills and develop existing skills.
Above all BB is fun, exciting, and safe.
The Boys' Brigade enjoys an excellent reputation for providing a safe environment for its children and young people to enjoy activities. All our adult leaders follow clear safety guidelines and undertake training appropriate to their role.
The BB's 'Code of Conduct' is a pocket sized card that all leaders working in The Boys' Brigade have a copy of. It contains information about how to report concerns or allegations of abuse and a code of behaviour for all adults working in The Boys' Brigade.
We also encourage our volunteer leaders to undertake further training throughout their time in the BB to enhance their skills and understanding of children's and youth work.
All of our leaders go through a procedure of registration and as part of this will complete a Criminal Record Disclosure Check.
‘I’ve been in GB for 10 years and I love going as I see my friends there and have fun. I’ve also been taught loads of useful skills and I probably wouldn’t have a faith if it wasn’t for GB,’ says Kirsty Plowman, 16, of Portsmouth.
Joining a GB group (known as a company) is a great way for your daughter to make lots of new friends and take part in exciting activities.
GB companies are run by fully-trained volunteer leaders, who are all DBS-checked (formerly CRB-checked) and each group has designated first aiders. All companies meet in safe environments, such as churches and schools, and are covered by insurance. GB has a social media policy leaders adhere to.
Each GB company charges a weekly, monthly or termly amount to cover the cost of activities and refreshments and this amount varies. Our company will help out financially, where finances would be a difficulty. Your child's attendance matters more - so please don't let finances be an issue for non-attendance.
The aim of the Girls’ Brigade is to help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and through self control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.
