ZOOM Meetings

When Meeting together is not permitted due to National Lockdowns, we have a Zoom option which allows us to continue meeting during this time in the Online world.

Using the ZOOM ONLINE Meeting app, we are able to provide a weekly catch up and some fun online games.

Invites are via our Members FACEBOOK Group & have been EMAILED, but for anyone who hasn't got it yet, please email us at BBGB1stWootton@Gmail.com for the Invite, along with your Childs Name, Age and School Year.

Join a few minutes earlier and enter the ZOOM Waiting Room
If your don't have the code already, please request the ZOOM Meeting ID from the Captain
Please Note that the each of the 4 meetings have DIFFERENT ZOOM CODES, i,e, codes for the Under 11's meeting is different from the Over 11's code, and BB & GB have different codes.
Please wear your BB/GB Poloshirts if you can.

OUR ZOOM Rules

We created the following Key rules to assist in our Get Togethers, and everyone connecting in agrees to abide by them

Politeness and Respect are just as important Online as when we're meeting face to face
No Recordings or Photographs of the screen is permitted, as some members are not allowed to be photographed and/or have their image uploaded to social media.
Don't all talk at once - otherwise the system's sound will struggle and the Host will need to activate the MUTE all option, So, Raise a hand to speak or type your name in the Chat and the Host will get to you asap.

Zoom instructions

We noted that a Laptop is best, tablet is okay, phone doesn’t really work

1) Click on the link (for the Get Together) as on our Facebook post or a link in an email provided by the BB/GB Captain

2) You can click on "download & run zoom" and it will download an app for you to access the meeting (if you already have the zoom app click on the pop up window that says "open zoom meetings")

You may be asked to enter the Meeting ID & Password (although I wasn’t asked at another meeting I attended this week). these were sent in the invitation to the meeting

Additional Notes on ZOOM

We've set up a Waiting Room, so that you can log in, get set up before the Meeting Time. The Host will then open the Zoom Room at a set time, and all those in the Waiting Room are admitted en-mass.
You may be prompted about access to your microphone and webcam, please click allow to use these
When you join a meeting, your microphone will be MUTED. You’ll need to UNMUTE it. Also it is best if we can see you face to face, as well as hear you. To UNMUTE the speaker or show your camera view, Click the Speaker & Video icons to ON (which appear in the bottom left of the screen) when you move your mouse.
There is also a CHAT option, that will bring up a side window that enables chat, either to a single person or everyone. To get EVERYONE, you may need to select the down arrow on the name - and click EVERYONE
There are also 2 views. I prefer Gallery View. This allows you to see everyone at the same time, in a grid. If you have speaker view on, only the person speaking is visible. To toggle views, there is an option towards the top right of the screen which will say Speaker/Gallery View
If you click on Participants it will show you who else is on the call.
