VIANA DO CASTELO

On June 18th we had the opportunity to attend the EU Solidarity Corps and Erasmus + Launch in Viana do Castelo organized by the European Commission.

The European Solidarity Corps helps young people take part in projects that benefit communities, either abroad or in their own country. These projects offer an inspiring and empowering experience, as well as the chance to bring change while developing skills and competences.

The new European Solidarity Corps programme 2021-2027 will offer opportunities to at least 270.000 young people. The new European Solidarity Corps supports the political priorities of the European Union.

The programme promotes inclusion and diversity, aims to incorporate green practices in projects and encourages environmentally sustainable and responsible behaviour. It supports the digital transition and promotes participation of young people in democratic processes and civic engagement. This year´s additional thematic area is health.
