Our Mission
1. Provide contemporary technical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Promote professional and ethical norms in all departmental activities.
3. Enhance laboratory facilities to produce technically competent manpower.
4. Facilitate faculty development through quality improvement programs.
5. Initiate industry institute collaborations for internships, training, field visits, technical talks etc.
Our Program Educational Objectives(PEOs)
PEO 1: Diploma graduates will engage in manufacturing, industrial automation, quality control, operating and/or maintaining systems in Mechanical Engineering and allied industries.
PEO 2: Diploma graduates will work efficiently in both individual and team-based projects including multi-disciplinary tasks.
PEO 3: Diploma graduates will apply knowledge and skills considering ethical practices, societal, economic and environmental factors and/or pursue higher education.
PEO 4: Diploma graduates will continuously update with the latest knowledge and information in their field of specialization.
Program Outcomes (POs)
Basic and Discipline Specific Knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
Design/ Development of Solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
Engineering Practices for Society, Sustainability and Environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
