Welcome!
WELCOME TO THE VERTO DIRECT TRANSFER PARTNERSHIP! We're excited to have you as a Direct Transfer partner and are here to support you through your onboarding experience. Please use the resources below as a guide for your initial launch. Your Verto Direct Transfer Account Manager will support you through your onboarding experience and beyond to ensure a smooth initial launch and future launches.
We ask you kindly review these resources prior to our initial meeting to understand the scope of the work before our kick-off meeting.
Typically our initial onboarding meeting would include the colleague from our partner school who engaged closely with Verto throughout the contract process, as well as those who would support or manage Verto student applications (both admissions decisions and operations).
We encourage our partners to review the Direct Transfer Overview section of our hub prior to our meeting.
In addition to our kickoff meeting, onboarding steps include:
Guaranteed Pathway Planning
Completing the Guidelines and Partner Page Build form, used to create a mockup of your Partner Page for approval and publishing
Referral Audience Planning
Collaborating on Audience Planning including defining the first-year student audience, launch timeline, and asset prep
Moving forward with a website placement
Verto Direct Transfer Application Setup
Providing all Partner Prompts
Identifying staff responsible for the operations processing and admissions review
Determining the workflow - how will students applications be uploaded to your systems, will you utilize a Verto-specific decision letter, etc.
Course Articulations

Your institution's Direct Transfer guarantee eligibility requirements are completely up to your discretion. We recommend you consider the following:
These requirements will apply to both the student audience you refer, as well as the "free agents" that find you through Verto.
How to balance making your guarantee as accessible as possible, while maintaining boundaries and academic standards you are comfortable with.
The Direct Transfer Admissions Pathway requires a 2.0 high school GPA or higher. Those with 1.75-1.99 final high school GPA may be eligible to enroll in Verto’s London and Prague abroad locations only, and may be eligible to earn admission to select Direct Transfer institutions.
Consider the following caveats:
If students fall below the GPA or credit load requirements for the guarantee, can they still apply for holistic review?
Are there any schools or majors that would not be eligible for this guaranteed pathway? If so, how would you like Verto to advise students that are interested in those programs?
Are any programs fall-start only?
Would students that transfer to Verto be eligible for the guaranteed pathway?
Would international students be eligible for the guaranteed pathway? Verto's English language requirements can be reviewed here.
Would homeschooled/GED students be eligible for the guaranteed pathway?
Are there any disclaimers you would like to include, such as around capacity?
Participants must have a final high school transcript demonstrating completion of high school (non-degree requirement) and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students with a final high school GPA between 1.75–1.99 can also apply to Verto for holistic consideration. Students in this range may still be eligible to earn admission to select Direct Transfer institutions.
Homeschooled Students
Verto requires documentation from the accrediting body or organization overseeing the homeschool program the student or family participates in.
GED students must provide proof of GED completion and demonstrate a passing score in all four sections of the exam. Verto also collects any transcripts from coursework completed prior to pursuing the GED to provide additional context.
Transfer Students
Verto collects all transcripts from previously earned credit. Admission is primarily based on high school GPA, and there are credit limitations. If a student does not meet Verto’s admissions criteria based on their high school GPA but has completed a full semester of college with relevant coursework, they may be considered for admission based on their college GPA.
International Students
All undergraduate applicants must demonstrate that they meet English language requirements BEFORE they can enroll at the University of New Haven through Verto Education.
What determines if a student is a Non-Native English Speaker?
A potential student must satisfy one or more of the following conditions:
They are a citizen of a country where English is not the official language (though they may not be born / living there)
They have submitted transcripts and/or graduated from a high school where English is not the official language of instruction.
How does a Non-Native English Speaker qualify for admission?
Students applying to attend Verto Education who are Non-Native English Speakers will have to demonstrate English language proficiency to qualify for enrollment in a degree program. Qualifying tests and scores are as follows:
Test Minimum Required Score
IELTS International English Language Testing System 6.0
TOEFL Test of English as a Foreign Language 70
DET Duolingo English Test 100
Verto welcomes participants ages 17 to 22 years old who meet eligibility requirements. Most participants are between 18 and 20 years old. Minimum age requirements vary by abroad location, with some locations only available to participants who are 18+ due to in-country laws. The “Details about” section on each location page for that location’s specific age requirements.
Participants must have a valid passport in order to participate with Verto. All passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the experience.
Those who are not a U.S. passport holder may have different visa requirements for entry into the host country. It is the responsibility of the student to research the immigration requirements of the host country and secure the appropriate visa.
The Verto fall semester deadlines (subject to change) are as follows:
Prague - May 15
Florence - June 1
Seville - June 1
London - June 22
Buenos Aires - July 1
