The Verto Direct Transfer Application provides students with one free streamlined application to all of Verto's Direct Transfer Partners via our Partner Portal.
The application consists of three parts:
Common Student Profile
Partner-specific Prompts
Supporting Documents
Application
Supporting Documents (facilitated by Verto):
Final High School Transcript
University of New Haven Midterm Report
Unofficial University of New Haven Transcript for prior Verto semesters
Any additional required documents identified by the partner
Verto participants are advised to request that official final transcripts be sent to partner institutions as part of the matriculation process.
The Verto Direct Transfer Application is delivered to our Direct Transfer partners on pre-determined batch-send dates, through our Partner Portal.
Applications can be viewed within the portal or downloaded in batch. The batch application download will include a .CSV of all applications, as well as a subfolder for each student which contains an individual .CSV and all supporting document.
Instructions on accessing and downloading the application can be found here.
Delivery dates are subject to change cycle-over-cycle, as they are informed by the timing of our academic calendar and midterm reports being available. Your team will be informed in advance of the dates for each term.
Partners are provided with a unique data dictionary that encompasses both the common profile questions and their partner prompts. Different institutions approach the processing of application packets in a variety of ways. Some proactively map the data dictionary for import into their systems, while some prefer a more manual approach until they hit a certain application volume. This is completely up to each institution.

Once an admissions decision is issued on a student's Verto Direct Transfer Application, the partner is responsible for both communicating that decision to the student and updating the decision in the Partner Portal to inform Verto.
When the decision has been updated in the Partner Portal, the student's portal view will show that a decision has been received, though will not share the decision itself. This may prompt students to check their institutional application portal for an update if they haven't already.
We encourage partners to employ a Verto-specific admissions decision letter that acknowledges the guaranteed pathway through successful completion of their study abroad experience. Template language can be found here for your reference.
Partners are encouraged to render admission decisions based on unofficial transcripts, including those reflecting credit earned prior to their Verto semester(s). This approach supports a smoother application process and offers potential cost savings for students.
To best serve students and maintain momentum in their planning process, we strongly encourage partners to return admissions decisions within two weeks of receiving a completed application, whenever possible. Timely decisions provide students with greater clarity and allow them to engage more fully with your institution as they prepare for their next steps.
