Assessments

Midterm-Final-Unit Assessments:

Verona High School does not administer school-wide midterm or final exams. However, each teacher will assess his or her students throughout the course and at the end of each unit. Departments will administer unit assessments throughout the year with the goal of measuring growth and informing progress.

AP Exams:

Students who are enrolled in an Advanced Placement Course are required to take the corresponding AP exam in order to receive AP credit on the transcript. If a student chooses to not take the corresponding exam for any AP course, honors weighting will be applied.

Dual Enrollment:

Dual Enrollment courses may have specific requirements as set by the college or post secondary institution.

NJSLA: ELA, Math & Science:

All students are expected to participate in the NJSLA assessments.

*NJSLA has replaced PARCC as the state assessment.
