Thank you to everyone that donated in June.
This July we are raising money in aid of Greenacres Rescue Limited and every donation will help.
Greenacres Rescue Limited is a non-profit animal rescue center in Pembrokeshire, Wales, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals of all kinds. They help animals in need throughout the UK, providing shelter, food, and veterinary care. The centre relies on fundraising activities, charity shops, and donations to support their work.

Our next fundraiser is in aid of Winston's Wheels charity where every donation small or large really will make a difference. The charity was set up by Rachel following her dog Winston becoming unable to use his back legs, she was loaned a wheelchair and several years on Winston's Wheels have helped over 1000 animals enjoy exercise and regain freedom and a good quality of life. The wheelchairs and strollers are loaned for a donation and get recycled and used again and again, keeping more dogs mobile. What a wonderful cause for the club to get involved in.

Four members of the club plus others put in a mammoth effort in litter clearing in March along the course of the Yeovil Half Marathon.
Thanks also to all the sponsors who contributed to our fund raiser. We helped to raise £1,000 for Abbey Manor Hedgehogs.
Vegan Running Club is proud to have completed another successful Vegan fund raising initiative. This was a sponsored 'marathon' litter pick by the club's Activism Coordinator with financial contributions from both club members and the public. We are truely pleased to make this contribution that will have a long term and sustained benefit for wildlife.
A 20 mile stretch of road was cleared of litter on 5th January.
Over 40 bags of litter removed from roadside in my a twelve hour effort in challenging weather and some of it in darkness.
This amazing endurance by the club's activism coordinator is to raise funds for World Land Trust which manages Amazon and Rain Forest projects to create and preserve wildlife habitat.
Thank you so much to the kind souls who've donated so far.
Forty bags of rubbish plus larger items are to be collected by arrangement by Dorchester Town Council refuse department.
Further contributions to this worthy cause can be made here.
In the first weeks of September we raised funds for Red Hen Rehoming. They were extremely thankful for our contribution and they have asked that we give our support for the remainder of September to Lowveld Poultry.
Club Activist Coordinator, Kevin Doherty, was one of several club members present at NARM on Saturday 17Aug. The flag was one of the tallest and most conspicuous of the march from Marble Arch through busy streets of London finishing at the houses of Parliament.
As well as being a voice for the voiceless, prior to the march Kevin repped for the animals with the flag at Clapham Common parkrun which had over 1000 runners.
Online animal abuse seems to be rapidly growing - it's used tactically to get attention on social media such as fake 'rescues'. It encompasses risks, harm, abuse and distress to the animals.

A briefing on how to encourage more plant based options in hospitality establishments from our friends at Plant Based Treaty.
Roisin and Rebecca will be homed at The Retreat
Kevin Doherty is running the Bristol 10k (18th May) disguised as a black ewe. That's cross-dressing for a cause. Here is a link to his GoFundMe.
Our fund raiser for April is now closed having exceeded the target. Many thanks to all contributors.
Adored one day and devoured the next - lambs are the epitome of cognitive dissonance. In the UK lambs are sent to slaughter at the very young age of 10 weeks to one year – the average age of death is six to seven month, Roisin and Rebecca have been more fortunate having enjoyed a whole 12 months of life but their remaining days are few without our intervention.
Sheep farming is terrible for sheep, destructive on the ecosystem, disastrous for climate change and a drain on the tax payer. The initiative is an opportunity to highlight the opportunity for agricultural reform.
The club want to save two sheep before they go to the abattoir this week. We have agreement from a wonderful Sanctuary that they will take them and let them live out their lives in full. The for sale advert was so heartless 'they have had great lives & will pack a lot more flavour' they are just over a year old. We understand it's a drop in the Ocean, but can we ask that everyone that can donate £5, do so, it can be more if you can spare it, but we have enough vegans in the club Facebook group to be able to save Roisin and Rebecca's lives. If we can save them and transport them to safety, we will put an acknowledgement up to everyone that helped us. You can send £5.00 by bank transfer to Vegan Running Club, sort code 30-99-50, account number 29711963.
