What is Vegan Running Club? 

We are a vegan running community based in the UK with vegan runners of all abilities. We support the international vegan running community in a positive, inclusive way — bringing together plant-based runners who care about performance, wellbeing, and kindness to animals.

Members connect through local runs, parkrun meet-ups, races, online discussion, and shared learning about training, recovery, and plant-based nutrition. Whether you run for fitness, competition, mental health, or community, you’ll find encouragement rather than pressure.

People join the Vegan Running Club to run with like-minded people, stay motivated, and be part of an ethical sporting community that proves you can run strongly while living your values.

Whether you're a beginner; parkrunner; club runner or elite athlete, this is the club for you.  Whether you are an ethically driven vegan or a 100% plant-based athlete – we welcome you whatever your motivation. 

COMPASSION AND ETHICS

Our vision and goals are driven by our ethics & compassion for animal rights.  We will measure our success from the funds we raise for good causes and our support of initiatives promoting outcomes that benefit vegan organisations.  These outcomes are the fundamental core of our existence.

Our prime focus will always be fundamentally ethical veganism.  Whilst we respect members will also have other concerns and motivations –non-vegan matters are best addressed in more appropriate organisations and forums – at Vegan Running Club we just focus on our viaion and goals.

OUR KIT

Our kit clearly identifies you as being part of a running club – not to be mistaken for someone wearing a self-customised vest.  We have a range of modern designs in a choice of colours using quality vegan certified fabrics.   Children's sizes are available on request.

Our kit shop is hosted in our members area. We stock vests, plus we offer a growing catalogue of made-to-order choices in PETA certified vegan fabric including shirts, caps; visors; jackets; hoodies and more.

BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS

We are affiliated to the Association of Running Clubs which provides UK* members with insurance for club organised runs.  We have newsletters, podcasts and exclusive member website content and discounts. We host expert lead nutrition forum of scientifically backed advise for plant powered performance in our private member's area.  There is also some general advice of vegan nutrition in our public page.  We examine the science on training for performance.  A full list of your membership benefits are listed here.

Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or just starting your running journey, you'll find a welcoming and diverse community of vegan runners in this club.  We celebrate all levels and abilities and encourage each other to push our limits while fostering a sense of belonging.  Over fifty-seven percent of our members are female.  And we support Vegan Running Nutrition. The joining process is fast and simple.  Our membership fee is little more than the price of a cup of coffee for one whole year’s membership.  Whatever your joining date, your membership will last for 12 months.  There's also an option to auto-renew.  Click here to sign up.
